1. What is the minimum and maximum number of guests allowed?
The private room can accommodate parties of 4 to 12 guests.
2. Do you charge an extra fee to reserve the private room? Is there a minimum spend requirement?
We do not require a fee or deposit to reserve the private room. Simply provide a credit card to hold your booking.
Private room reservations must meet a combined food and beverage minimum of $200 for lunch and $500 for dinner (tax and gratuity not included).
3. Are there time limits for using the private room?
There are no strict time limits. Kindly note that lunch service is available until 2:00 PM, and dinner service is available until 10:00 PM daily.
4. Is the room fully enclosed, or partially open to the rest of the restaurant?
The room is fully enclosed and completely separate from other dining areas, allowing you to relax and unwind with total privacy.
5. Is the room suitable for professional and business-related gatherings?
Absolutely. With a wonderful view of the Royal Hawaiian Center’s courtyard, our private room makes an excellent choice for important executive meetings, client entertainment, and team events.
6. Do you provide any equipment for meetings and presentations?
Yes, we have a projector and screen available for your convenience. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use these items.
7. Is the room suitable for family celebrations?
Yes. For get-togethers that call for something a bit more special, our private room provides all the comforts and flexibility that family members of all ages will appreciate, including highchairs for younger guests.
8. What are the dimensions and layout of the room?
The room is approximately 190 square feet (17 square meters) with a long table in the center.
9. What food options are available?
Guests may order from our full Washoku menu, which includes both course meals and à la carte dishes.
For Lunch:
- If you plan to order our seasonal Shunsai-zen (monthly lunch special), please note that availability is limited each day. We recommend placing your order in advance.
- Hot pot orders (shabu-shabu or sukiyaki) require a minimum of two guests.
- We also accept orders from the Teppanyaki menu; however, preparation times may vary depending on the restaurant’s capacity, even with advance notice.
For Dinner:
- Hot pot orders (shabu-shabu or sukiyaki) require a minimum of two guests, whether ordered as part of a course or à la carte.
- Teppanyaki menu items are not available during dinner service.
For special occasions, we’re happy to design a custom menu tailored to your event. Please contact us ahead of time to discuss options.
10. Can we bring our own cake or wine?
You are welcome to bring your own cake as long as it is communicated to the restaurant in advance. For wine, there is a corkage fee of $40 per bottle.
